Terms of Service
These terms apply to the use of the ReadBull app for iOS (“the App”) and the ReadBull Clipper extension for Chrome (“the Extension”), together “the Products”, provided by TechTriangle (“we”, “us”). By installing or using a Product you agree to these terms. If you obtained the App through the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms prevail to the extent permitted.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Products on devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Products, or use them to build a competing service that misrepresents its origin.
2. Price
The Products are currently free of charge. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce paid features in future, they will be clearly labelled and existing free features will remain free; see the pricing page.
3. Your content
The Products process text, web pages, and files that you choose to import. That content stays on your device; we do not receive it and claim no rights over it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and listen to the content you import, and for complying with the terms of the websites you visit through the App’s built-in browser.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Products to infringe others’ rights, to circumvent access controls on third-party websites, or in any way that violates applicable law.
5. Third-party services
The Products rely on services provided by Apple (iOS speech synthesis, Universal Clipboard, the App Store) and Google (Chrome extension APIs). Those services are subject to their providers’ terms, and we do not control their availability.
6. Updates and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue a Product or any feature at any time. Because the Products store data only on your device, discontinuation does not delete your data, but future updates may not be available.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
The Products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Speech output is machine-generated and may contain errors; extraction of web content may be incomplete. We do not warrant that the Products will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Products. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Products is limited to the amount you paid for them, which is currently zero.
9. Support
Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis through the support page and support@techtriangle.co. We aim to reply within three business days.
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version on this page with a new date. Continued use of the Products after a change constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought before the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
