Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information TechTriangle (“we”, “us”) handles when you use this website, the ReadBull app for iOS, or the ReadBull Clipper extension for Chrome. The short version: our products are designed to work without collecting personal data, and this website collects only what you type into a contact form.
1. Scope
This policy covers:
- the website at techtriangle.co and its subdomains;
- ReadBull for iOS, distributed through the App Store;
- ReadBull Clipper for Chrome, distributed as a direct download.
Client projects we deliver as a consultancy are governed by the agreement for that project, not by this policy.
2. The website
Hosting logs. The site is a static site served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address and request headers to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not access, export, or analyse those logs beyond what is needed to keep the site running. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or social-media trackers. Your language choice is derived from the URL, not stored.
Contact forms. When you submit the contact or support form we receive the information you enter — your email address, the message, and any optional fields (name, company, device). It is delivered to our mailbox by email and used only to reply to you. We keep this correspondence for up to 12 months after the conversation ends, then delete it. Form submissions are protected against automated abuse; if a bot-protection service is used, it may process your IP address for that purpose only.
External links. Pages may link to the App Store, GitHub, or other third-party sites, each governed by its own policy.
3. ReadBull for iOS
ReadBull is designed so that we never receive your data.
- No account. There is no sign-up, login, or user identifier.
- No server. ReadBull has no backend. Articles, files, playlists, progress, and settings are stored only on your device, in the app’s own storage. Deleting the app deletes them.
- No analytics or advertising. The app contains no analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, or other third-party code that transmits data.
- Network use. The app connects to the internet only when you ask it to load a web page — in the built-in browser, or when importing a link you have copied. Those requests go directly from your device to the website you chose; we are not in between. The built-in browser uses its own isolated cookie store, separate from Safari.
- Camera. Used only on the “Scan QR” screen, to read QR codes shown by the ReadBull Clipper. No images are stored or transmitted.
- Clipboard. Read only when you choose “Copied link” or “Copied text”, and cleared after a batch is imported so it is not imported twice.
- Files. Documents you open with ReadBull (EPUB, PDF, TXT, DOCX, HTML) are processed and stored on your device.
- Speech. Text-to-speech uses the speech engine built into iOS and runs on your device. Downloading additional voices is done through iOS Settings and is subject to Apple’s privacy policy.
Our App Store privacy label is therefore “Data Not Collected.”
4. ReadBull Clipper for Chrome
- Storage. Your clip queue is kept in Chrome’s local extension storage on your computer. It is not synced to any server.
- Page access. The extension reads the text of a page only when you click its icon or choose a “Clip” item in the context menu, using Chrome’s
activeTabpermission. - Clipboard. Writes a batch to the clipboard when you choose “Copy to clipboard”, and reads it only when you choose “Paste text”.
- Network. The extension makes no network requests of its own and loads no remote code.
- Transfer to iPhone. Batches travel via Apple’s Universal Clipboard or a QR code you scan. Neither path involves our servers. Universal Clipboard is provided by Apple and subject to Apple’s policies.
- Speech. “Read aloud” uses Chrome’s built-in
ttsAPI with the voices installed on your system.
5. Children
Our website and products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Because the products collect no personal data, no special handling is required; if you believe a child has sent us personal data through a form, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to its processing. The only personal data we hold is form correspondence; email us at support@techtriangle.co and we will act on your request within 30 days.
7. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes that affect the products will also appear in the changelog.
